So before 2008 starts to become a distant memory, I thought I'd share some insight on my favorite movies. With 2008 all wrapped up I've chosen 8 movies that I honestly loved in 2008. Why 8? Because I'm legit. No... It's that and because I haven't completely finished my list of movie watching for 2008. You know movies like
JCVD, Doubt, Let The Right One In, Rachel Getting Married, Vicki Cristina Barcelona, Man On A Wire, Yes Man!, and all that good shit. You know... movies you've read or heard about from people but haven't gotten around to watching. But in my mind nothing I see can beat my top 8. I'm bored and I felt like blogging since it's 2009 nigga! And if you're bored you should read my lovely opinions.
Okay here goes it:
1. The Dark KnightYeah, this one is obvious. The movie came through as people hoped it would. And of course Heath Ledger (RIP) pulled out one of the greatest acting performances since Bobloblaw. Haha. You don't get it.
2. The Curious Case of Benjamin ButtonOh motha effin yes. I was a bit skeptical after I saw it. But I thought a lot about the movie overall. And I can tell you it was a 3 hour long journey into an amazing life. And if that life ever came out on dvd/blu-ray I'd definetly watch it again. But backwards...!!!??!! The movie was simply amazing.
3. Slumdog MillionaireI just watched this piece of crap. And it's that f*ckin good that it actually has pieces of crap in it. It's a great story and a long one, but it keeps you watching and overall it was an easy top 100 in my movie watching lifetime.
4. Marley & MeOkay... Fuck you! I loved it. I never enjoyed watching people hang out with a dog ever this much in my life. And I have to see my brother and his dog everyday constantly loving each other. The ending is obvious. This movie is kind of like Benjamin Button, but for a dog.
5. Kung Fu PandaThank you Rey. And thanks to everyone who's seen it. This movie is my shit. And if you haven't watched it, you're not my shit. Kadooooooooooosh.
6. Forgetting Sarah MarshallThis movie is as funny as the first time you saw Anchorman and 40 Year Old Virgin. This is probably going to be one of the best comedies for years to come. Until Judd Apatow can get his act together and start thinking of more movies like this one and not Pineapple Express.
7. Role ModelsI honestly don't know why, but this movie is just funny as hell and I couldn't stop laughing. I liked it.
8. Iron ManYeah yeah. It was really good. But I don't think it was better than those up there^^. I think you comic humpers are easily aroused by these end credit scenes. Haha jk. The movie was really good.
There could be two more. But I'm not done with movies in 2008 so relax. Who knows maybe I'll find one that'll F up my top 8 and jump to like 4 or something. K well, if you haven't already seen these movies, I suggest you do. They're that amazing.
